The Direccion Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales de la República Argentina (Argentina Republic's National Management of Personal Data) proposes the following material in its website- 'recomendaciones' (recommendations) - as a prevention campaign:
Basic Advice for using social networks. A simple page with recommendations about what to do and what not to do.
Personal Data Protection. A PDF brief file, whose promoted idea is "The best way to protect your personal data is avoiding its indiscriminate supply"
Web use and Privacy Protection. A little more complete PDF file with some recommendations and information about the meaning of Malware, Spyware, Spam - classified in Hoaxes and bad jokes-, Frauds, Scams, Phishings and pharming.
Lastly, it mentions the possibility of of reporting to the Argentinean Federal Police Divison of Computer Crimes, without supplying the provider's data.
